World Elder Abuse Awareness Day - June 15, 2017

Every year an estimated 5 million, or 1 in 10, older Americans are victims of elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Financial exploitation is a fast-growing form of abuse of seniors. World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) - commemorated on June 15th every year - is an opportunity to take action to protect seniors by raising awareness about elder abuse.
