WISER's Advisory Council is comprised of industry leaders who share an interest in women's retirement issues. Council members and the organizations they represent contribute to WISER's mission through participation in WISER events, research and other activities.

AARP *

AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, social welfare organization with a membership of nearly 38 million that helps people turn their goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthens communities and fights for the issues that matter most to families - such as health care, employment and income security, and protection from financial abuse. 

American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) **

The American Council of Life Insurers is a trade association based in DC with approximately 300 member companies. It advocates for public policies that support the industry's marketplace and the 75 million American families that rely on life insurers’ products for financial and retirement security. 

Calvert Investments

Founded in 1976, Calvert Investments is an investment management company based in Bethesda, Maryland that offers strategies to institutional investors, workplace retirement plans, financial intermediaries and their clients. It manages over $12.5 billion in assets.

Fidelity Investments**

Fidelity Investments offers a variety of services and product solutions including retirement planning, portfolio guidance, and brokerage services. It is the leading provider of workplace savings plans in the U.S. Fidelity is also the nation’s number one provider of IRAs. Currently, Fidelity assists with the management and administration of over $4.2 trillion in assets.

Financial Services Roundtable (FSR) is the leading advocacy organization for America's financial services industry. Plan Administrators, Inc. (PAi) is dedicated to providing 401(k) administration to financial advisors, small business owners, and their employees. PAi works to make retirement plans, which are difficult to obtain for small businesses, easy to access and affordable.

SIFMA advocates for effective and efficient capital markets and represent the broker-dealers, banks and asset managers whose nearly 1 million employees provide access to the capital markets.

Society of Actuaries

The Society of Actuaries (SOA) is an educational, research and professional organization and the largest professional organization dedicated to serving 24,000 actuarial members. SOA promotes high standards of professional competence within the actuarial profession. SOA provides basic education about the fundamental principles for professional development and continuing education studies. They also conduct their own research and studies to help advance the profession.
