In April 2020, the Social Security Administration and the US Treasury Department announced the launch of the IRS Economic Impact online portal. The portal assists eligible individuals who do not normally file a tax return apply 
for the Economic Impact payment.
In addition, Social Security beneficiaries with qualifying dependents can apply for the additional $500 dependent payment on the portal.
